Prevention services include school and community based programs, small group intervention, individualized prevention counseling and outreach. This spectrum of prevention services is designed to raise awareness and reduce the spread of HIV/STD/Hepatitis infection across our community.

In Berks County, prevention services are provided by a diverse staff that includes Peer Workers and Prevention Specialists. The prevention staff is specially trained in the fundamentals of HIV/STDs/Hepatitis and prevention counseling. Additionally, staff members regularly participate in ongoing training and skills building.
